This is a bedroom from a house built in the 1950's. The fire place was bricked up and roughed in, by "persons unknown". Here we have straightened this out by chopping back the high points and then filling out using a bonding coat. Once set we have treated all walls with p.v.a. adhesive and re-skimmed the whole room. The dark patch on the chimney is where it's still drying.
These are before, during and after photos of a grade I listed building. I plastered and rendered this together with another plasterer and an apprentice whilst living in Holland. Inside and out took nearly 2 months but the result was fantastic. This is the most enjoyable job I have ever done.
Here we had a disused plasterboard chimney breast and an unnecessary door. The chimney, door and frame are removed. New studwork and plasterboard are fixed where required. Then the whole wall and Artex ceiling have been sealed and skimmed over.
